I think that Yan-Mar and especially Kubota have finally achieved "Name Brand" status! Certainly they are MORE name brand now than are some Euro-brands like Valtra, Fendt, Styer and Deutz. Kubotas are very good and while their distributors are not quite as common as JOHN DEERE, they are out there! Especially around larger cities where they sell to a lot of mowing contractors and suburbanites. It wouldn't hurt to look at any good late model (<15 years old) used tractor from John Deere, CASEih, MF or New Holland, however. Tractors---unlike most cars, last for as long as 50-60 years! Look at all of the Ford N series tractors! One of them can be up to 65 years old and they STILL bring excellent money!
