O/T Is it a weed or not

Do not answer to you read this. Milkweed As far as I know this is a weed that only is good for home owners that like the butterflies it attracts. I know many a person that has tried to kill this out of their hay fields with limited success. Then on the radio today I hear that farmers in ILL are planting and harvesting milkweed as a crop. They are selling it to pillow manufactures that are using it as a non allergenic pillow filling. Could this be the same gene of milkweed we are killing? So don't kill that milkweed; harvest it.
