You asked about breather tube ,some smoke and a little oil is ok. How ever when idling does it make a bop bop noise if so time for an overhaul. Also could the injectors be in need of cleaning or replacement?To check if you are down a cylinder start set at fast idle and crack the fuel at the injector one at a time, to see if engine bogs down a bit just like pulling a plug wire off a gasser. Just do a little tinkering and you could find problem I hope GOOD LUCK..
