You mention that it is a hydro. Are the Kubotas that you are comparing to also hydros? The hydrostatic transmission is very good at sucking a lot of power. Great for a lot of different jobs, but lousy on power. Some blow-by as they call it out that pipe you refer to is normal. Oil dripping off of it is a bit excessive, but I'm not sure that I'd go to the extreme of a engine teardown just yet. Find out how much PTO power it should have, then find someone with a good PTO dyno and have the thing tested. I'm guessing that it's got the power it's supposed to have, but that hydro tranny is just using a lot of it, especially at faster speeds. Aaron SEIA
