Hi Shocker, I often use some cardboard, tires, waste oil, waste vegetable oil and diesel. Important thing is to get a hot spot going, and keep it going. I generally use a hand sprayer for the diesel, and that way the fire can be led around a bit. Although, sometimes it is just plain misery to get a fire going. I have had to start small fires and feed them with the dozer, gradually increasing the size of the pile. Sometimes, I have even had to move a live pile to the next pile to get that one going. 'Tis not for the faint of heart, or the leaky dozers. The main thing is to have CLEAN piles. If the guy on the dozer isn't making clean piles, he should be told to make them burn. When he has to go with the matches, he'll learn darn quick. HTH. Rod
