Hey all, I have been looking for a project to do this winter and have been searching the ads in the newspaper for a couple of weeks. There is an Allis Chalmers model B for $1250 and a Farmall model A for $1275, both running, and wondering which I should consider. It looks like that they have about the same power and are about the same size, however I am just assuming. I have called the owners and gotten some info on each one. From what I am told the AC has new rear tires, good paint, 6 volt with starter, and is not quite an hour away. The Farmall I am told has good front tires, ok rear tires, 12 volt conversion with starter, but it needs paint and the owner said it has begun to run only with the choke out like it has a carb problem. It is no more than 2 hours away. Do these sound like good prices? If so, which should I choose because I only want one. Thanks for the help.
