I had an 88 F-250 that did the same thing. Replaced all of the cooling components except for the radiator and it still wouldn't work. Finally the radiator went so I replaced it. It has not run hot again yet, even when pulling a trailer with the A/C on. I tried the flushing and cleaning of the radiator too and it didn't work. My guess is , the radiator is shot. Don't waste your time getting it recored otr you'll be buying another one soon enough. Look around on the internet and you can find deals. Local parts store wanted over $400 for a radiator and I found one online for $250 witha lifetime warranty...
