I haven't seen clamp on duals for many years, but the mounting system was never a big deal- the clamp might be a bit quicker, tho. I would not mount duals so close to the inside tire- they just ball up with mud after the first low spot. I made straddle duals for my planter tractor and combine- so they center between the rows, don't pack the row, and stay clean in the mud. With all duals, whether front tractor wheel or rear, or combine, I weld rings on the J-bolts, and tie the bolts together with a light chain, so if one comes loose, it does not get lost. Years ago I planted with a 3020, no cab, and could hear if one was loose, but with cab tractors I couldn't hear that, so now I don't lose any bolts. I make rings out of old field cultivator springs, cut lengthwise with the chopsaw.
