This tells me that unless you have satelite internet access you do not have broadband connectivity - which rules out VoIP (Voice over IP). Many companies nowdays are bundling local with unlimited LD (SBC is the latest) and sounds like the best option to me if it is available with QWest. MCI does not promote this because they are strictly a LD carrier (except in a few local sites) and it doesn't fit their profit map to give away free LD.

If you can get a good cell phone signal at your house, an unlimited minute plan with a cell phone carrier would work also as a second choice (but extended use of cell phones may cause brain cancer and gets real hot to boot).

I would go with the QWest solution, as long as they don't make you sign a rediculously long term commitment.
