Jerry, I have one of those little buggers also. There are several info tags on mine, but not to much info. My compressor has two large name plates, one on each side of the hood, with these words. Smith Motor Compressor. Distributed by, Peterson Auto Machine Co. Nashville Tenn... There are two more plates, one on each side, just below the gas tank, with the distributor name, Peterson auto machine co. Mine was built in 1945, I have used it for over 30 years on personal projects, with only one engine rebuild. I have an extra engine to rebuild for mine, but it don't look like I'll ever need it. If you have missing parts or whatever? You can get pictures of a complete machine here..
