Yeah - I remember those days! I went to TWO one room country school houses! One is now a museum in Tecumseh. Most I had was one other student in my grade. Played Dodge Ball at recess. Had outhouses (have one now on my farm). Walked to school with the rifle. Took baths in the "Summer Kitchen" behind the wood stove (until we got running water when I was 6). Used a Pitch fork near other people. Swung from the "Tarzan Rope" we had in the barn. Rode on the back of the baler. Picked fruit from the loader bucket. Had snowball and "Hedge Apple" fights. Used to ride a sled off the barn roof down across a frozen manure pile and on into the cow lot. Heck - I may even have ran with scissors once or twice! AMAZING how I lived to be 43!
