rice vs radial tires

I just bought a Massey 1130 it has 20.8x38 bias tires that have less then 50% tread. I'd like to put new rice and cane tires on it like the rest of my tractors, but sticker shock has brought me to consider radial tires. Will they tear up my fields like bias tires do? I like to get started early in the spring with tillage and chopping grass, the rice tires seem to be less destructive in the heavy clay on my farm and I can't really wait till July for everything to dry out.
