I got a little one(2.5") on my "71 C-20 I put a Cummins in..........Main reason was it actually cut the noise in the truck(Can"t hear it run with the stack), it got the smoke out of the cab that came up through the shifter boots, and it was a less of a bent run from engine to stack than underneath to the rear which seems to restrict less. We had them on our farm trucks(Old C-10 Chevys) so when hauling wagons out of the fields a back firing 292 wouldn"t start a BIG fire.........Usually ran 2" pipe straight back from the engine and with 2 elbows up and out in front of the wheel on the step side box........Can"t beat the sound of a 292 running out a stack IMO.
