The last time I did something like that was to a 1946 Studebaker 1/2T pickup. Used a couple of old torque tubes through the corners of the box. Of course that was about the same time that I was ruining a 1956 Chevy Sedan Delivery wagon by putting a Ford pickup front straight axle under it! Ah...Youth?
