Rod is right . I normaly fill in all the holes (so that the corners are full, etc.) in the load and go just about 6 inches higher in the center of the load ( 1/2 cord). Just about a ton give or take. AS for your normal 1/2 , 3/4 ton pickup 1 & 1/2 cord would be a load and than some. 128 cu ft in a cord. Wieght around 4000 and up for a cord, so that would be 4000-6000 maybe more if all oak or other heavy hard wood. Don't get nailed for overloading. AS for me I stop at 3/4 cord for hauling out of the woods to farm for storage ( 1/2 ton truck ). Teddy
