Do I have to choose? Personally, I wouldn't have either one. If I was buying a diesel pickup truck, I would buy it based on the engine. Currently, the Dodge with the ISB Cummins is the only one on the market worth having, and it's been prooven by millions of miles of relieable service in those trucks, and tens of millions of hours service in medium industrial applications since 1986. As far as I'm concerned, both GM's and Ford's PowerStroke (Navistar engine) have a very spotty record. I know guys that swear by that old 7.3 powerstroke, but I know a lot more that swear at it. The same can be said for GM's old 6.2, the 6.5, and now the Duramax. I would also suspect that regardless of what power and torque specs you're shown for any of those 3 engines, the Cummins will out pull the other 2, by a lot, even if the Duramax puts better numbers on paper. The ISB will put the numbers on the tarmac. Just keep repeating to yourself "six in a row is the only way to go" until you buy a Dodge. Then you'll know the answer. Personally, if I couldn't stand to buy a dodge, I'd buy a gas in one of the other two, or go to a medium duty truck to get the engine I wanted. FWIW, Rod
