Oliver 880 gas- need a little $$ opinion, quick. P

OK here's the lowdown. Oliver 880 gas, narrow front, new front tires but one is one size smaller, rears 15.5's 50% weather cracked, but hold air. Did not see any oil leak spots on floor. Has (hydro boost?) TA. All sheet metal is good but is missing the right rear engine cover. Has original fenders, lights. No 3point. Live pto, 2 set hyd. Owners werent home when I went to see so I have to hear it run. Owner stated last night it runs starts very well, says Hydraulics were rebuilt about 2 years ago. Does not look like it has been used much recently but has been running, oil was NOT milky, but needs a change and smells gassy, Notined new gasket in carb bowl so I am guessing it had been flooding out. Owners are asking $1600, I was gonna offer $1400 IF it runs as nice as they say when I go to get it (30 miles) Some one please let me know if this is a decent purchase. What can ya get these days for $1600 any way letely not much
