I am not partial to any color as my collection will attest to. I currently have Deere, IH, Ford, Allis, and Case. They all have their good and bad features. I ran some neighbors tractors as well as my own during harvest and tillage: 5088IH, 8310JD, 7120CNH, 8830(Ford), 1170Case,4230?JD and I believe the following is objective. CNH should have kept the Case 451-504 engine. There is something magic about the way that engine performs. The 8310 cab functions well but is noiser than the Ford or Magnum. After 5 hrs in the 8310, I wanted ear muffs. My ideal tractor would be one with the 504 Case engine, Deere cab functions, Ford quietness, and Magnum transmission.
