This was kind of a different thing for me. When Gary called and wanted me to do this, I really was a bit "hesitant", just because I have such a good relationship with this dealer. Have had for years and my dad before me going clear back to 1950 or so. I told Gary not to get his hopes up, 'cause I'm a picky type and have a nasty habit of "pickin' 'em to death". If it is a junker, I'm gonna tell you so. We both agreed that this would be the route we'd take. Anyway, I spent a good deal of time looking this old tractor over. Old-fashioned curiosity for one thing, but also in this instance, I was responsible for someone else's money. When I was done and fairly confident that the tractor was sound, I went in the office and asked them if they cared to pay for a long-distance call to the far side of Iowa, because I knew someone who needed that tractor. Dialed the phone, told Gary about that bad light bulb, handed the receiver to the company man and just sat back and listened while Gary stole th..............Whoooooops! Sat back and listened while Gary bought his tractor. :>) Allan
