I'd say it's insane around here lately, eastern NY by the vermont border. 44 F right now, last saturday it was 70, I went down the hill away from the house onto our surrounding land, in a short sleeve shirt, in '02 we had 18" of ice on the big 23 acre pond, and snow that lasted til march, neither of which we have seen in awhile. The patterns are strange over the years, the 70's seemed harsh during the winter. I'll tell ya Allan, move the rudder on that cold air machine and send some of that artic air this way, the darned ticks will be having another great 2 year cycle, and those gnats and other annoying insects are going to be thick, it's great to get a real nice cold snap with no snow cover, seems to put a dent in the bugs and we get some ice to skate on . I don't miss the hardships like frozen pipes, waterin horses, frozen or gelled up fuel systems on equipment, but the last 2 years seems like we are in VA or one of the warmer states to the south.
