Cobbled system to give Allis B live hydraulics. GM power steering pump, Gresen open center valve, 1" in/out and 3/4" working. 1. There is a pipe plug on the end of the valve. Is this a pilot port, a remote tap, or something else? 2. The system has what appears to be a flow or regulator between the pump and the valve (on the pressure side). Any guesses why? is it possibly a minimum pressure maintainer to keep the pump from working too hard? THe outlet on the pump is 1/4" and it seems like that ought to limit the flow. 3. The pump has a 3/8" falre fitting on the outlet. Anyone know a source for and adaptor to 3/8" or larger FPT (so I can put real hydraulic hoses on it)? Many thanks for all input.
