Massey Fergusen 35 Gas??

I have a Massey 35 which is approx. 1958 vintage. It has a marvel schrebler carb and here lies my problem. My friend Ernie came over and put a Carb kit in for me. I didn't use the tractor very much at the time and now cannot call Ernie as he has passed away. So, when I start the tractor it runs beutifully for about 3.5 minutes then quits. I let it sit 5 minutes and it starts right up runs 2 minutes and quits. I can do this all day. I drained the tank, cleaned the bowl/filter. It is getting fuel to the carb. It seems it has to fill its reservoir and when it runs out it quits. Could this be the float and or needle assembly? Any suggestions. Thanks Terry
