Hi Terry, I suspect the sediment bowl valve. It
may be "limed" up. As you describe this is likely
caused by this. Over the years good people even
put on new Carbs. to solve problem. Flow will go
thru but then gradually closes off. Overnite soak
in carb cleaner may do it but these are not very
high priced and might be good just to replace. One
other thought: maybe the fuel cap doesn't vent.
