WAY OT---Television set question....

I trust the folks here to give their honest opinions, so here goes. Thinking about bidding at a household sale on a big screen projection HDTV. This model is 52" I think, and is about three years old. I know it is a Toshiba, and it looks to be a rear projection job. First, what is a 3-4 year old TV like that worth, ballpark.
Second....anyone have a similar set? What do you think of these? Thanks for any input, sorry for the OT post.
