If your Diodes have gone bad you will have to feed DC to feilds to generate AC . they furnish DC to feild Coils . Check the diodes Take end cap off generator and check diodes . Also you might have to Flash Field Coils to get going after doing this , Can be done with a small Battery 6 to 12 volts touched field brush terminals I installed some wires and left them on mine . Start gen up and just touch for a second to terminals "with a volt meter on output of gen" voltage should start to climb to normal . Make sure you get polarty right .
