I beleive Dave has the right answer here.....Same thing happened with My 79 one ton. Caught Me at a time when I couldn't get the time to shut down and fix it. When it locked up I'd pull the left front wheel and prise the caliper free.BRAKE LINE HAD FRAYED INSIDE....WOULDN'T LET FLUID RETURN. Fairly easy fix,but,TOUGH to thread a new hose in the junction block. Be carefull, Guard against cross threadin'. Bill Caldwell
