I'm rebuilding a Massey Ferguson 35 with a 152 Perkins in it. The crankshaft I got from A&I thru YT Tractor Parts was made in India. The bearings were made in England. The replacement track rollers for my Komatsu D20 were all made in China or Korea. Go to Tractor Supply and try to find any American Made tools. Good luck. We all go for the lower priced items and every time we do it we put another American worker out of a job. It's a dilemma which has no pleasant outcome.
Either our government adopts a more protectionist import and outsourcing stance and saves American jobs in the short term, or we all tighten our belts and start charging less for our services to be more competitive internationally. I don’t see either thing happening. Who knows how it will turn out? What’s your opinion?
