Today,Monday 11/8/07 made my usual 6AM call on one of my Customers in time to see all thier Golf Course Construction Equipment all lined up and waiting for the morning meeting to end so they could go to work doing what they do. I observed in the line up 5 Massey Fergusons and one little Ford. Reading all the China and U.S. versus them Posts lately has caused me to maybe become a little aware of some of the things I come in contact with every day and thier place of MFG. Any way I took a look at these machines and I found: All the Massey's sported an AGCO Badge but, The 481 was made in Canoas Brazil-The 231 was made by Ursus in Poland-The 461 was made in Turkey- The 4253 was made in Coventry,England- The 4243 was made in UK and the little Ford 1700 was made in Japan.Not a Chinese made one in the bunch but that is not to say that there is not a Massey Ferguson made in China. It would be very interesting indeed if all AGCO Tractor Production of all thier Brands could be spotlighted as to Country of MFG. My customer has a lot of Yellow Construction Equipment,Cat-JD-Kawasaki-Komatsu etc. Would the Country of MFG. of this Yellow Equipment be a surprise also?
