Couldn't that band be relined ? Only thing I always wondered when you can't find the part like that brake band,and must have it re-lined, they need to know the correct thickness and type of the material, have always wondered where they get the information on that for the older equipment. Have some crawler parts on the bench that need new friction material, no idea on thickness, hate to get them done and be wrong, looks like an easy job for someone who has a rivet press like a chicago rivet machine and even just a hand clinch tool for a small job, would seem easy if you could get the friction material pre-drilled and counter bored and had a hand clinch tool, hiring done though these friction outfits would be even easier.
