Thanks Tractorman NC, I found it in My parts book about the time You posted, guess someone broke the Street L off, the hole is plug with a 1/8 pipe plug...I've got this bright idea now, by usein' nipples and a tee I'm thinkin' about installin' a gauge at the block like is on My Farmall A, installin the sendin' unit in the other end of the tee and wirein' to the idiot light, that way I'll have a light and gauge and like You mentioned, it is easy to knock off so I'll fab up some kind of guard.
Now can somebody clue Me in about the one wire GM alternator? In the beginnin' this tractor (1964) came with a generator, somewhere along the line somebody replaced the generator with a three wire alternator, did a bad job of fabin' a mount, possibly usin' the orignal voltage regulator.I'm rewirein' most of the wirein', Would the one wire alt. do away with the voltage reg,where does the wire run too,straight to the battery? If it is fairly easy to explain I'd appreciate help with this, wirein' can give Me fits sometime, I'm sure this Alt. that is on it now isn't chargein'...And does anyone have the GM parts number for the one wire ALT?
