My neighbor passed away in the spring and now the widow wants tp sell his 190XT diesel. I don't know anything about 190XT's at all. I have had nothing but IH tractors for 30 years. I think this is a good tractor for it's age. Well maintained with just normal problems. What I don't understand is the pto. It has only a 1000 rpm pto. But my neighbor didn't have anything that took a 1000 pto. Right now it has a 540 adapter which is OK unless you forget. Surely there is a way to go from 540 to 1000 on this tractor but how do you do it? Hard to believe that a 40 year old tractor of this size only had a 1000 pto.
