The well pump for the house has been giving me problems lately. Put in a new jet pump in the basement 3 years ago, foot valve last year. Everytime the pump kicks in it has air in the suction line and takes a bit to get going and spits air out the faucet. Sometimes even enough to loose all pressure for a couple seconds till it regains prime. I am assuming the worst a leak in the suction line and thought of digging up the yard is not appealing.
I have 1 1/4 suction line and can get a 3/4" black poly pipe through it.
The real question is will a 3/4" suction line be ok? Its only about 60 foot worth of pipe and 6-12 foot of it is verticle lift.
