I have installed a new tune up kit. The spring on the points was broken. Set the gap at .020", and still no luck! I'm going to start replacing the wiring , one by one. Hope this takes care of it. The black box is square, and mounted on the bottom of the sterring wheel post, I think it's a voltege regulator. Thanks for the help, could you tell me how much resistance I should be reading out of the ballast resistor?? Thanks again!! Randy
