Just wondering if anyone has realized how many old tractors were lost to crushers when scrap metal was so high? I was wandering around the forum looking at pictures and saw a good number that appeared to be in scrap yards. I rent an area to park our demolition equipment right next to a salvage yard. The owner is a good friend. We regularly work around the yard and when metal was so high you would not believe the things that would come in there. I convinced him to save most of the tractors and equipment for resale. I ended up with a 600 ford and a 2000 industrial. It is unbelievable the things that people throw away. It just makes me sad to think of all those tractors that were not saved....I had the man on the scales looking out for another 600 so he calls me one day saying they had one just come in. When I got there the next day to look, it turned out to be an 8600 with the panel that had the 8 missing. Ron
