GM and any others should be allowed (forced) to solve their own problems. It is not my place as a taxpayer to bail them out from bad business decisions.
How is it that the EPA and NTSB or any other government agency had anything to do with GM failing. Ford and Toyota are doing well using the same rules.
Let GM file chapter 11; renegotiate their contracts and management pay scales; and if they make it they will come out a better company. If they do not make it Ford will sell more cars because of this and will need some of the GM workers.
