We had a deal like that here about 3 years ago. Two 70 some odd year old brothers had thier 40 some odd year old nephew liveing with them on thier farm. He was not right in the head but had lived and worked with them for 20 years. They got up every morning and told him what to do. One brother died and another went to a nursing home one summer left nephew there. Guess no one thought anything about it, didn't know how bat s*** he was. First warm spell in Feb. nighbors a mile away got to notice'n a stink and buzzards. Old boy had left about 50 cows with calves in a 10 acre pasture all winter where they were when the last uncle left. Hay was still in the field, other pastures had boot top high fescue. Over half were dead. Nighbor that the courts put in charge of the place had to put down alot more. Never made the news. nighbors did the best they could to help. Nephew was sent to nut house.
