I used to have a copy of the service bulletin issued to Oliver dealers dealing with this problem, but I can"t find it right now. I believe the problem was caused by the threads pulling on the connecting rod bolts. I think there were updated bolts and new rod bolt torque specs that solved the problem, but this is just from my sometimes faulty memory from about 25 years ago. If the hardware was changed, I would think the current Agco parts listings would have the part numbers of the updated bolts in them.
