Ford 650- should I shut off fuel between uses?

If I use my tractor mostly on weekends, would it help anything to shut off the gas supply and run it dry when it is going to be idle for several days?

I am experienceing no problems at all- in fact the tractor starts incredibly easily. I just want to keep it in good shape.
