I've never seen an attachment like the white one opposite the mold board, seems it breaks up the furrows ? In the soils here it would catch rocks if low enough, tree roots on occasion etc., would have to be built a little heavier where the tines/shanks are, but looks like it kind of levels too, some of the soils that get plowed annually with a moldboard plow around here, don't appear to need a pass with the disc, except for leveling and I think that is why my farmer friend does it anyway, but I have watched that 5 bottom in action, makes you wonder if you could get away with planting afterward.
