Yes it was a term life policy that was quoted.
No I dont buy whole life policies, not worth the monthly payment. (I dont have a lot of faith in insurance companies anyway.) The insurance companies get off to a bad start with the car insurance with a kid when he buys his first beater car and basic coverage is $1200/year. I think of all the premiums that the companies take in for home owners insurance and the amount that they payout---quite a disparity. I have paid premiums for home insurance for 16 years and never made a claim.-----$10,000 for them.
I guess $263/year is a good price, for life insurance (especially for a diabetic) I will likely get the policy set up before the end of the year after the wife gets her insulin level stable.---That Glucose meter is reading it all over the place, 240 at night, 150 in the day, sometimes it is 170. (not good)
Yes I want the life insurance on her due to fact that she works full time as an accountant and losing her income would suck big time.
