I decided that one outside light wasnt enough so I put up another. All I can get now is the new light to work and the old one to barely light up.Let me tell what I did.Have this metallic conduit with the wire in it,black, white and green.all three go to box with the switch.Black goes to top of switch, white on the bottom, green to ground. The light has ben "spliced in" on the white wire.Light works fine. When I ran the new wire I went to the box with the switchLeft the black wire in place and took loose the white and ground.Hooked both grounds together and put back on the screw,I took the black wire on the new stuff and connected it to the white wire on the old and hooked the new white wire to the other side of the switch. All I get is a new light thats fine and an ols that will barely come on.What am I doing wrong here.
