i guess all states have different rules but here in Texas if its for farm use...ins aint bad at all...my 1 ton and 25' gooseneck cost a extra 100 bux every 6 months added to other policy...thats liability and uninsured motorist...believe it or not,thats thru State Farm. i got license for 25,900 GVW on truck/trailer...only time i go over is haulin hay...local law has instructions from Austin to leave hay trucks alone during drought...not sure what it gonna be like this year with all the rain.
