A 961 is a nice tractor, JB, particularily a -5 (wide front) version. Lots of power (nearly 50 HP) for its size and user friendly. The vertical gate transmission takes a bit of getting used to but you will probably like it once you do.
The price sounds right if he has done the work that he says he has, even better if he finishes the list.
Check the rear rims for CaCl damage. If it still has the OEM power adjust rims, replacements are not available anywhere and good used ones are hard to find and expensive. If you must change to the common 6 loop style you will need to change wheel centers.
Check that the clutch operates properly. The double clutch is expensive to replace.
Note: PS pumps are a known maintenance item. I do not believe that rebuild parts are available so ask the owner what he means.
