Hal, exactly. i think you are right about where the confusion was in. Although it is a commercial site, the forum is for noncommercial use, at least other than the site owners, no one can put a link to other sites. as for my friend from Nomadia; i know him very well, he is a great person who never makes any offensive comment, never make advertisements where such things aren't permitted. he is a very kind one. As a conclusion, he is a true Nomadian. So, this possibility is less than 1%. the other possibility you mentioned, that is, the site's owner just didn't like his comments and considered his comments were offensive to he/she. Anyways, in our Nomadish language, we say "kim bilir.." (means "who knows.."), only my friend and the site owner(s).
