An alternate location for the return oil from your added valve is to tee it into the rockshaft return line. I replaced the elbow with a tee but you could very easily drill and tap the end of the elbow for 1/2 inch pipe thread.
I had used this photo to call out the plug for the transmission screen.
The black hose is my return from the loader valve. You can also return to the transmission filter cover which is the round cover with the bolt head in the center. Both methods return to the same place, the filter. This view is under the LH battery box.
