Sorry, I don't remember. I was there for 2 and a half years but didn't spend a lot of time at the fort. Fished a little in a river on post and fooled around a lake (thought it was American Lake) across from the NCO club. Had a SGT that was from Yakima and used to go there and fish the river with him and his dad. Only lived a few months in Roy. Thought I'd be there a while and really liked it, but as soon as I got settled in, I came down on orders for Korea. I was too young and rambunctious to really appreciate the area as I would now.
