Yesterday I bought a used Westendorf WL42 loader to put on the 1086. Been thinking about it for years, but the old 15,000 hour '10' is now relegated to light duty service since I bought the 4650 so now's the time.
The Du-al has been on the old 12,000+? hour 630 for 41 years and now it's time to put the 630 into semi-retirement. Gonna donate the loader to a young guy who has a tractor to put it on but doesn't have the money for a loader.
Bought an old used welded up Westendorf grapple claw too. It' straight, but welded in about every place it could break. Could have bought a better claw but I'm just too cheap for that. besides, my old claw is welded up in all the same places. In my view, a loader's not a loader without a grapple. Now I have to find pallet forks to load the 500+ big square corn stover bales I have that go to the new cellulosic ethanol plant. I'm gonna enjoy the warm cab for sure. Jim
