The county is putting a program on here at the high school, called "Shattered Lives". It is a SIMULATED multiple auto accident (four cars). Bodies are scattered all over the place. There were 17 patients, 11 of whom are fatalities. Three of the fatalities were pulled out of my second period class by the Grim Reaper and their obituaries were read to the class. They simulated the accident scene very well with four fire trucks, four ambulances, a Life-Flight helicopter and local, county and state police on the scene. The fireman used the jaws of life to get to the "victims". All juniors and seniors were required to attend. It was a pretty sobering experience and very well simulated. One of my third period girls fainted. It seems to be pretty effective, as they do this at all the county high schools every few years. If it saves a life, I guess it is well worth it. It"s very sobering, to say the least.
