OK - it's not a US classic but I'm really wondering on this one. I was hunting a 3 pt hitch post hole digger earlier this week.
I called an ad in CraigsList. A woman in NC was selling her 3 pt hitch equipment because her "older model Kubota tractor's transmission was beyond repair".
She said she sold the tires off of it and "the guy who was working on it accepted the tractor to cover the bill for checking it out."
I've never worked on a Kubota but it seems to me that she got royally ripped off for her tractor. I didn't say anything about my thoughts - It was a done deal a couple of weeks ago, several states away involving folks I've never even met.
Anyone have any experience with one of those critters? Could transmission a make a Kubota not repairable?
(Her mother had already sold the PHD to someone else - $300 with a 6" & a 9" auger.)
