I've raised hay nearly all my life. We lime and fertilize as needed. Had a horse lady wanting to buy hay for her horses. She wanted to know if it was string or twine tied. (first clue), then she wanted to make sure that it had been limed as the lime will make the hay sweet for her horses (clue2). Now, I lime to help the grasses grow, but sure never new that it made the grass sweet. I'm afraid to sell to her, I just might cause her horses to get diabetis LOL. She explained that they were seniors and needed nothing but top of the line hay. I told her that she should find someone with pure alfalfa that had really been limed and she wouldn't want mine as it was just mixed clover, orchard grass and timothy, not good enought for her horses. God I love it when these ladies don't have a clue, but know it all. Just thought you guys would like a chuckle. Keith
